Top Ten Reasons Why You Can't Trust Pit Bulls

Top Ten Reasons Why You Can't Trust Vicious Pit Bulls

10. They will steal your spot on the couch while you are up getting a soda.
9. They will take the treat you give them and bury in the back yard like a paranoid crack head hiding their stash.
8. They will jump on your bed with muddy feet. Making you do the laundry...again!
7. They will lick visitors with an uncontrolled passion only they understand.
6. They will cause children to smile.
5. They will make you feel horrible for not walking them by looking at you with deep sad eyes.
4. They will look at you like you committed a crime against them if you don't let them lick your ice cream bowl.
3. They will cause wide spread happiness in large group settings.
2. They will crack you up by shaking their butts so hard you think they are going to snap in half.
And the number one reason why you can't trust vicious Pit Bulls...
1. They will steal your heart like a thief in the night, showing you complete and pure love that only a Pit Bull can show.

BCS = F$&#ing joke...

Well, the Sunday night I've been waiting forever for has finally come; the announcement of the BCS Bowl games. Boise State had a great, undefeated season and I thought, just maybe, they would get their second BCS appearance.

Guess what. Not going to happen. Want to know why? Because this ridiculous organization called the Bowl Championship Series decided that Virginia Tech and Cincinnati (who had a combined 6 loss total) were more deserving. They even took Ohio State who comes from a shitty conference and has 2 losses. I would love to see Ohio play Boise...

Boise wasn't the only team that got dicked over. Utah, who also went undefeated, got the low end of the BCS bowl games (at least they made it in). If the BCS followed their own arguments ("every game of the season counts"), it would be Boise vs Utah for the National Championship. Undefeated team vs undefeated team.

The BCS needs to go. There needs to be a playoff system, just like every other collegiate sport. We have March Madness, why not December Madness?

I'm glad the Pres-elect agrees with me.

Hasta readers.

The apples don't fall far from the trees...

Before I say anything, read this story:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27799810/

Ok, now that you've read that, this closed mindedness is absolutely inexcusable. And guess what, it's not the kids who are at fault here. Children will reflect what they are taught and what they are told (why do you think most religions, especially western ones, are taught beginning at such a young age? It's so it's all they know and don't question it*). These kids, being from a very conservative part of Idaho (I lived in Idaho, I know Idaho), simply reflected the ideals and attitudes of the adults around them. They didn't come up with their political affiliations by themselves. They aren't old enough to understand politics (hence why the voting age is 18).

People need to be aware of what they're "feeding" the minds of their children. Let them make their own decisions concerning what they want to believe or who they want to affiliate themselves with politically. Let them grow. I'm not saying don't be there to help them, but say "this is what I think" or "this is what I believe", not "this is how it is" and "this is what you must believe." Let them think for themselves.

Ciao readers.

*I'm not attacking religion here people, just stating my opinion. No need to get all defensive.

My Faith in America Restored (Partially)

Barack Obama became the president-elect yesterday and I could not be more pleased. After 8 years of the country getting flushed down the toilet, we are finally going to see change. My faith in America (for the most part) has been restored.

Now, there was something yesterday that quite frankly pissed me off. California's Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage, passed. Um.... first of all, last time I checked there was a separation off church and state. "Potecting the sanctity of marriage" is a religious quest people. Banning it is a state law. Hmmm.... see the problem here? To quote a dear friend of mine: "IF YOU ARE AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE, DON'T HAVE ONE!" If two people who happen to be the same sex, are in love and want to make that commitment to each other, they should be able to do so. People, it's none of your business and, honestly, how does it even affect you?

It's time to grow up you overly conservitive, religious, closed minded dicks. It's a new era. You may not realize it, but there are a lot of similarities between how you are treating the homosexual community and the segregation of race 50 years ago. Get off your religious pedestals. Get out of your ridiculously conservative boxes. All people are equal, whether they're gay, straight, rich, poor, black, white, male, female, religious, or atheist. Get over yourselves. Enough is enough.

But, at least the best man won the Presidential election.
